Fund Manager
Ahmet Akif Demirbaş took part in the establishment process of Turkey Wealth Fund and took part in the transfer of companies such as THY, Borsa Istanbul, Ziraat Bank, Halk Bank, Çaykur to Turkey Wealth Fund. Demirbaş received his license after completing his law internship and is registered with the Istanbul Bar Association. Prior to joining Teknopark Istanbul, Demirbaş worked as Senior M&A Manager at Eksim Investment Holding and managed venture capital investments at Eksim Ventures. Demirbaş holds a double bachelor’s degree in economics from Bilkent University and a law degree from Istanbul Commerce University. He also holds a master’s degree in private law from Istanbul Commerce University. He continues to work in the field of private law, especially in the field of blockchain and crypto assets law, venture capital and startup law, and venture capital investments.
Sector Analyst
Mehmet Kaan Demir graduated from Kocaeli University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. He started his professional career as a part-time student at Kuveyt Türk Participation Bank with the Bank on Campus work program. After his university education, he worked as Production Engineer, Supply Chain and Logistics Engineer and Demand Planning Specialist in different national and international companies respectively. As of November 2021, he started to work as an R&D Activities Specialist at Teknopark Istanbul A.Ş. and after about a year and a half, with the establishment of the Fund Directorate, he became the first employee of the Fund Directorate as a Fund Specialist.
Financial Analyst
Mr. Yıldırım holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Karabük University and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Marmara University. Mr. Yıldırım started his professional career in the Independent Audit sector and worked as a Senior Independent Auditor in national and international IFRS/TFRS audits of large-scale companies.
With more than 7 years of experience in the sector, Mr. YILDIRIM has worked as a financial and administrative affairs group manager in an internationally operating company and has carried out the financial management of group companies in the fields of private equity, share transfers, investment strategies and reporting.
Mr. YILDIRIM holds a CPA license and speaks fluent English.
Ecosystem Management Officer
Ayşe İrem Pınar graduated from Doğuş University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. She is currently pursuing her master’s program with thesis in Business Administration at Commerce University. She started her career at Ena Farma in 2017 as a part-time employee in the financial affairs department and then worked as a quality assurance specialist. She worked as an expert in finance-accounting process design and digitalization projects at Asır Plast and contributed to process improvement and digital transformation.
Pınar took an active role in the establishment stages of the department within the Teknopark Istanbul Fund Directorate and assumed responsibility for the successful implementation of the processes. She is currently working as Ecosystem Management Officer at Technopark Istanbul.
